Chapter 1 — Will You Marry Me?

When Whitney Walker arrived at the city hall, her intended mate for marriage had not yet arrived.
It was a half-hour delay past the agreed time, and just as Whitney was about to make a phone call, the other party's call came in first.
As soon as she answered, a harsh and abusive voice pierced her eardrums. "Whitney, you are a liar. Have you forgotten what you've done? A prostitute who has slept with so many people, and now you want to marry me? Let me tell you, dream on! No wonder you proposed marriage after just three dates. If it weren't for your sister telling me, I would have almost been fooled by you. Shameless prostitute! Go to hell!"
Beep beepbeep. The call was abruptly ended.
Whitney didn't even have a chance to explain before she was condemned.
She gripped her phone tightly, causing her fingers to turn white. Although her lips moved, no sound of defense emerged.
Leia, the fierce and combative side of Whitney, roared, This person clearly knows nothing! He should be taught a lesson!
Leia was a fierce and combative wolf. Their personalities differed a bit. Many times, Leia advocated for solving problems with violence, but Whitney was unwilling to do so. She was even somewhat timid and cowardly.
"Let it go, Leia."
The voice on the other end of the phone was loud just now, and many people's eyes fell on Whitney. Their disdainful and contemptuous gazes were like countless fine needles piercing Whitney's heart.
The nightmare from two years ago struck again.
On that endless dark night, she lay on the bed with a blurred consciousness until heavy panting sounded above her head. A tremendous force suddenly lifted her hips, and a slippery giant opened up the entrance to her body like expanding territory.
In the chaos, she realized that she had been violated! Like being fed with poison, she lost the ability to resist. Even the keen sense of the werewolf failed to capture the man's scent.
The more she struggled, the deeper the man's organ penetrated. The rigid shaft clung to the vaginal wall like a suction cup, inch by inch, until it was completely inserted, and then the violent thrusting began.
She instinctively scratched the man's arched spine, unable to produce a moan. Tears burst out uncontrollably, and no matter how hard she struggled, she couldn't escape...
Beads of sweat dripped from her forehead, and Whitney's face gradually turned pale. Her whole body trembled uncontrollably.
Not far away, a pair of deep black eyes, like ancient wells, stared at Whitney. The slender fingers tapped the armrest of the wheelchair absentmindedly, with a thoughtful gaze.
"Mr. Morrison." At this moment, another young man suddenly came to that man's side with a hurried expression, holding a phone and speaking softly, "Miss Liam is calling."
The man reached out and took the phone, and immediately a piercing roar came from the other end. "Stefan, the Cappe Pack disgusts me! How dare you actually hide your disability from me. I will never choose a disabled person as my mate!"
The young man beside Stefan looked a bit embarrassed. Stefan was one of the candidates for the next Alpha of the Cappe Pack. Unfortunately, he had a disability in his legs due to an accident in his childhood.
The other werewolves in the pack believed that a powerful pack didn't need a disabled candidate, and some even wanted to expel Stefan from the pack. In order to let him stay in the Cappe Pack, his grandfather Michael Morrison arranged a marriage between him and Nora Liam, a woman from a powerful pack. However, Nora found out about his disability before they got married...
Stefan, however, hung up the phone expressionlessly. His cold gaze was still fixed on Whitney. He spoke indifferently, "It doesn't matter. She just despises me because I'm disabled. I don't need a mate who doesn't respect me."
"But..." The young man, who looked like an assistant, hesitated. "Old Mr. Morrison is pressuring us..."
Ignoring his words, Stefan pressed the switch on his wheelchair and made his way towards Whitney.
You saw her too, didn't you? I could smell it. Her scent is unique and strangely familiar... As the wolf within Stefan, Pessi possessed immense power and, more importantly, a keen sense that could detect even the faintest of scents.
"Miss, will you marry me?" A clear and gentle voice resonated, pulling Whitney out of her thoughts.
Whitney was taken aback as she looked up.
A man in a wheelchair had suddenly appeared before her, seemingly out of nowhere.
He possessed a flawless face that took people's breath away, with sharp eyebrows and captivating eyes. Every feature on his face seemed to be meticulously crafted without a hint of imperfection.
He wore a simple white shirt, but it was evident that it was tailored perfectly, accentuating his tall and slender figure.
Even in a wheelchair, his noble and aloof demeanor remained unchanged, like a rare flower on a lofty mountain, making people hesitant to approach.
Whitney was momentarily stunned until the man spoke again, bringing her back to reality. "What?"
"I overheard your phone call. You must be eager to get married, right?"
Whitney's breath hitched, and embarrassment and awkwardness washed over her once again.
"Well, what a coincidence. I want to get married as well."
Before Whitney could respond, the man continued, his voice calm as if he was discussing a business deal rather than a major life event. "So, let's fulfill each other's needs. Is that okay for you?"
Hey! Whitney, don't space out! This is a great opportunity! I believe this man is our destined mate, Leia cheered from within her body.
Whitney finally started to react a little.
The man in front of her actually wanted to marry her, but they had just met; this was too absurd!
"Sir, we don't even know each other. This decision is too hasty."
"You didn't know those men you went on blind dates with either." The man's response was indifferent yet direct, leaving Whitney speechless.
"Oh, I see. You look down on me because of my disability, don't you?"
"Of course not," Whitney blurted out. But as she met the man's mysterious ink-black eyes, she realized that she seemed to be easily influenced by him.
Whitney looked at the man in front of her and felt like she was being targeted as prey.
"Miss, I believe you desperately need this marriage. If you let this opportunity slip away, where do you think your next chance will come from?" The man crossed his arms and placed them on his long legs on the wheelchair, looking up at Whitney with a penetrating gaze.
Whitney admitted that she was convinced.
She truly needed a marriage.
More precisely, she needed a marriage to protect herself.
Her mother was seriously ill, and initially, her father was covering her mother's medical expenses. However, her father's business gradually declined due to the pack. Recently, he not only stopped paying for her mother's medical expenses but also wanted to sell her to the neighboring pack's Alpha in exchange for funds.
It was rumored that the Alpha was a middle-aged lecherous man who kept many women as mistresses. Whitney would never want to become one of them.
So, she started frantically going on blind dates, hoping to marry herself off quickly.
Whitney didn't reply and silently clenched her fists.
Although the man in front of her had a physical disability, his appearance and demeanor indicated that he was an exceptional werewolf, far superior to the mediocre men she had met on blind dates before.
Oh, Whitney. Haven't you been seeking to quickly get married and escape your father's control for the past three months? The opportunity to fulfill your wish is right in front of you now, so why are you hesitating?
With countless thoughts racing through her mind, Whitney finally bit her lip and suppressed the last trace of hesitation in her heart. Suddenly, she looked up and said, "Alright, I accept your proposal."

Chapter 2 — Is This How We Get Married?

An hour later, Whitney walked out of the city hall with a slim marriage certificate in her paw, feeling as if she were floating, as if it were all a dream.
She never expected to suddenly marry a man, especially someone she had just met.
Whitney looked down at the marriage certificate, and at the bottom were their names.
It was absurd as she only discovered her new husband's name—Stefan Morrison—from the marriage certificate.
A simple yet elegant name, perfectly matching the man's demeanor.
"Whitney Walker?"
Stefan also looked at the marriage certificate, slowly pronouncing Whitney's name with a deep and hoarse voice, like a feather gently brushing against Whitney's heart, tickling her.
While Whitney was still in a daze, a paw with distinct knuckles suddenly appeared in front of her, holding a card between its fingertips.
"Miss Walker, I know that girls usually look forward to beautiful wedding dresses and rings, but I'm sorry, I don't have time to deal with those. If you like rings, you can choose a style yourself."
Whitney looked up and met the man's deep, bottomless eyes, like obsidian.
"It's okay. I don't care about those things." Whitney quickly waved her paw.
She had long passed the age of pursuing romance. Furthermore, Stefan was her nominal husband. The fact that Stefan married her had already done her a great favor, and she didn't want to owe him too much in other aspects.
"A ring is still necessary," Stefan said lightly, suddenly reaching out and grabbing Whitney's wrist, placing the credit card in her palm.
In that moment of skin contact, the man's slightly higher temperature seeped through her skin, causing Whitney to feel a little dazed.
"Alright." After all, they had just registered their marriage. Whitney didn't want to brush off his goodwill over such a small matter, so she reluctantly accepted the credit card.
"I have a meeting this afternoon, so I won't be able to see you off." Stefan's tone remained indifferent.
"Okay." Whitney hadn't expected him to treat her like a mate and shower her with affection, so she didn't feel any disappointment.
"By the way, about the address of my house." Stefan suddenly remembered something and spoke again, "I'll send it to you later. Whenever you're ready, just move in directly."
They had already exchanged phone numbers when they obtained their marriage certificate.
"There's no rush for that," Whitney quickly said nervously.
Although it was expected for them to live together after marriage, she wasn't really prepared to live under the same roof with a stranger.
Perhaps her refusal was too obvious in her tone, as Stefan glanced at her slightly, making Whitney feel a little embarrassed.
But Stefan didn't say much. He just pressed the button on his wheelchair to change directions. "If there's nothing else, I'll leave first."
"Okay."
After watching Stefan get into a black sedan, Whitney finally left.
Whitney worked at Helsa Magazine. When she arrived at the company, it was not yet time for the afternoon interview.
With this spare time, she took the credit card that Stefan had given her and went to the nearby mall to buy a pair of wedding rings.
After returning to the office, just as Whitney was about to review the materials for the afternoon interview, her colleague Stella Quinn, who was sitting on a swivel chair, slid over and asked with bright eyes, "Whitney, what's the deal with this ring?"
"You have sharp eyes." Whitney had no intention of hiding it, guessing that everyone would know about her marriage soon. "I got married."
"Oh, congratulations!" Stella's gaze fell back on her diamond ring. "Did your husband give you this ring? It doesn't seem very big. How much did it cost?"
"A little over a thousand dollars."
She was not clear about Stefan's financial situation, so she chose the cheapest and most ordinary style.
Stella's eyebrows furrowed even tighter.
"Whitney, this is not acceptable. The ring symbolizes marriage. How can you rely on a man who is unwilling to buy you a better ring? Even a werewolf who refuses to purchase a decent ring cannot be trusted," she said gravely.
"Just take whatever he can," Whitney replied casually, observing a hint of sympathy in Stella's eyes, possibly due to her husband's financial situation. "Alright, let's not dwell on this any longer. How are the preparations for the afternoon interview going?"
Whitney didn't want to continue discussing the matter.
"Of course, I'm fully prepared! Whitney, look at me. Do I look pretty today?" Whitney's words successfully diverted Stella's attention.
Upon hearing this, Whitney noticed that Stella was wearing a pink and white suit skirt today, and her hair was obviously well-groomed.
"You look absolutely stunning," Whitney generously complimented.
Stella instantly became even happier, her eyes sparkling. "Well, Whitney, do you think the CEO of Sirius Group will be interested in me?"

Chapter 3 — The CEO Is My Husband?!

Whitney was momentarily surprised before she understood why Stella was dressed so extravagantly. It was because their interview subject in the afternoon was the CEO of the Sirius Group.
The Sirius Group was like a legend in Svilledale.
Three years ago, the Sirius Group was established out of nowhere and quickly gained a strong position in the financial world of Svilledale with its dominant approach.
In the following three years, this company rapidly developed into one of the largest conglomerates in Svilledale, standing alongside the three major groups under the Svilledale Pack.
And the CEO of the Sirius Group was even more mysterious than the company itself.
For three years, no one knew any details about the CEO, not even his name or appearance.
However, this unknown factor did not diminish everyone's enthusiasm for this mysterious CEO.
For example, upon learning that they were going to interview the CEO of the Sirius Group, Stella dressed up especially for the occasion.
Whitney looked at Stella with a smile and teased, "Stella, do you really want to make an impression on this CEO of Sirius Group? Aren't you afraid that he might actually be an old, bald man?"
"Pfft! I don't believe it!" Stella stomped her foot in anger. "Everyone says that the CEO of the Sirius Group is exceptionally young and an outstanding young werewolf! Marrying him is the dream of many girls."
Unlike Stella's eager expression, another colleague Zora Fisher, who was standing beside her, said seriously, "This interview opportunity is precious, and we must prepare well. You know, this is the first time that Sirius' CEO has accepted a media interview. If we can take his photo, it will definitely boost our magazine's sales to new heights."
Whitney nodded.
Indeed, the CEO of Sirius Group never accepted interviews. When they initially invited him, they were rejected. But they didn't know what went wrong, as he suddenly called yesterday and agreed to the interview.
This unexpected good news shocked their chief editor as if they had won the lottery.
After quickly reviewing the interview content they were going to discuss later, Whitney, Zora, and Stella, along with the photographer, went to Sirius Group.
Sirius Group was located in the financial district of Svilledale. After greeting the receptionist on the first floor, Whitney and the others took the elevator directly to the top floor.
"Is it Helsa Magazine?" The secretary of the CEO's office saw them coming out of the elevator and immediately greeted them, "Mr. Morrison is already waiting for you inside."
Mr. Morrison?
Whitney was stunned.
She hadn't expected that the mysterious CEO of the Sirius Group and her newlywed husband had the same surname.
When they entered the office, Stella was particularly nervous and kept pulling Whitney, whispering if her hair was messy.
Whitney found it somewhat amusing and whispered back, "No, it's not messy at all. It looks beautiful..."
As Whitney spoke, she curiously glanced at the office.
But when she saw the figure next to the floor-to-ceiling window, she suddenly froze, forgetting to continue answering Stella's question.
At this moment, Stella's gaze also fell on the man by the window, and she couldn't care less about Whitney. She lowered her voice and exclaimed, "Oh my God. The CEO of Sirius Group... is... in a wheelchair?"
Before Whitney could answer, the wheelchair by the window slowly turned around.
Suddenly, Stella gasped in astonishment.
"Wow. Sirius' CEO is just too handsome! He's even more good-looking than a celebrity!"
Stella seemed to have completely ignored the fact that the person was sitting in a wheelchair. She excitedly whispered, already fantasizing about becoming the mate of this great CEO.
But Whitney didn't pay any attention to her exaggerated exclamation.
She just stared fixedly at the man by the window, feeling as if a thunderbolt had exploded in her mind!
The sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm glow on the man's chiseled face as he sat in the wheelchair. His features were flawlessly defined, and his deep, dark eyes emitted their customary icy brilliance.
It was Stefan.
Stefan is the CEO of Sirius Group?
