Chapter 1 — Strip Them All Together
My family's housekeeper's daughter, Yolanda Pauley, stole my custom-made million-dollar gown and showed up at my birthday party wearing it. Just as I was about to have someone strip it off her, a flood of floating comments suddenly appeared before my eyes.
[This villainess is just jealous that the female lead looks better in it!]
[She looks down on people just because she's rich! Just wait until the male leads bankrupt her and break her legs. Let's see how arrogant she is then!]
The next second, my younger brother, Charlie Morton, and my fiancé, Lionel Lambert, appeared at the same time. They pulled Yolanda into their arms and shielded her.
They glared at me and snapped, "All you lost was a dress, but she lost her dignity! What right do you have to bully her like this?"
I let out a cold laugh. "Strip all three of them."
I wanted them to see what real humiliation looked like.
"Naomi, it's just a dress. What's the big deal if Yolanda wears it? Do you really have to be so aggressive?
"Don't think that targeting her will make me look at you more. I'm telling you, even dressed up, you're not worth a fraction of her!"
One loud voice after another rang out, making my head pound.
I frowned and looked at the man and woman standing across from me.
They were my fiancé and the daughter of my family's housekeeper.
The two of them clung tightly to each other, as if I were the villain trying to break up a pair of lovers.
The dress Lionel mentioned was one I had custom-made by a top designer months ago. It cost several million dollars, and I had it made specifically for my entrance at my birthday party.
Yolanda knew exactly how much I loved that dress. More than once, she had whispered in my ear, "Naomi, aren't we best friends? You have so many pretty outfits. What's wrong with letting me have this one?"
After I refused, she volunteered to clean the room where the gown was stored. Then she took advantage of a moment when no one was watching. She stole it, put it on, and walked straight into the birthday hall, standing beside Lionel.
Their matching gowns made them look like a perfectly coordinated couple, fitting together seamlessly.
When I heard about it, I stormed over, ready to settle the score with Yolanda.
But Lionel stepped in and shielded her behind him. He kept accusing me, his words repeatedly implying that I was petty and unreasonable.
I sneered and was about to fire back when more comments floated across my vision.
[Here I am, here I am. So this is the villainess? She's not even that pretty. She reeks of money. How tacky!]
[What does she mean, Yolanda isn't worthy of it? Our Yolanda is the main character. If she's not worthy, then who is? It's just a cheap dress anyway. Only some nouveau riche like her would care so much. She's just jealous that Yolanda looks better in it!]
[Don't worry. The male lead is already here, and the second male lead will show up soon! It's time for them to completely humiliate that villainess!]
[Just wait a little longer. When that vicious woman goes bankrupt, has her legs broken, is thrown under a bridge to beg, and is even assaulted by thugs before finally taking her own life in despair, let's see if she can still act so arrogantly!]
[Rich people who bully others are the worst. I hate rich people like her the most!]
My silence while reading those comments was taken by Lionel as guilt.
He lifted his chin and spoke even more arrogantly, "Naomi, I've told you so many times. Even if you force this engagement on me, you'll never have my heart!"
With that, he turned back to glance at Yolanda, who was hiding behind him like a frightened deer. His expression softened instantly. "Give her the dress, and I'll forgive you!"
I couldn't help but sneer.
My thoughts finally cleared.
So these comments were talking about my future downfall?
Even if I fell into hell, I would crawl my way back for revenge. There was no way I would ever end my life like that.
I waved my hand at the butler, Eden Floyd, beside me. "Taking something without permission is theft. This thief is bold enough to steal from the Morton family."
Then I continued, "Go check the surveillance footage. Send people to investigate. Before my birthday party officially begins, I want the thief found and an explanation given to all the guests."
Eden acknowledged the order and left with the bodyguards.
But the comments immediately exploded into chaos.
[Ah! How can she call our precious Yolanda a thief! My sweet girl just hasn't seen such a beautiful dress before. What's wrong with trying it on?]
[Exactly! Isn't Naomi the daughter of the richest family? Why is she making such a big deal out of a single missing dress? So petty and small-minded!]
[Hmph! She's only acting high and mighty because she's the heiress of the richest family. Once the second male lead arrives, she'll be the one kneeling and begging. A daughter can never compare to a son when it comes to inheritance. This villainess won't get anything in the end. Hurry up and disappear already!]
Chapter 2 — Taking Something Without Permission Is Theft
Yolanda was brought to our house when she was six years old by her mother, Thora Greenwood, who worked as a housekeeper in our home.
Thora knelt on the floor, trembling as she pulled Yolanda along with her and begged, bowing her head repeatedly toward Mom. "Mrs. Morton, I don't need a salary. I only hope that, since you also have a daughter, you can let Yolanda attend school with Ms. Morton.
"The tuition at Osley Academy is far too expensive. Someone like me, working as a housekeeper, could never afford it, but it means nothing to you. I heard you sponsor other children, so why not spend that money on Yolanda instead?"
Thora forced Yolanda's head down against the floor again and again. It didn't take long before her forehead was swollen and bruised.
Mom had always hated seeing children suffer. Faced with Thorar's desperate pleading, she finally softened and agreed.
From that moment on, Yolanda stayed in the Morton residence.
Seeing how pitiful she was, I would casually give her luxury items and spending money.
To outsiders, she looked just like another rich heiress.
Over time, she seemed to forget her place.
She really thought she could stand on equal footing with me. She competed with me for everything and even started getting involved with my fiancé.
In the past, I couldn't be bothered with any of this. It was just a marriage of convenience anyway. I didn't care who my fiancé was, and I also didn't care who Yolanda was flirting with.
But now that I knew she was the so-called heroine—and that her followers would eventually destroy my entire family—I couldn't possibly ignore it anymore.
Eden soon returned to the main hall with a flash drive. The giant screen lit up, playing footage of Yolanda sneaking around in a maid's uniform, carefully avoiding others as she entered the room. When she came out, she was already wearing my gown.
She lifted her chin proudly, like a little swan, and walked straight into the main hall.
Everything was now crystal clear.
I waved my hand impatiently. "Did you all see that? Yolanda stole my dress. If that's not theft, what is it? Today, she dares to steal from the Morton family. Tomorrow, she'll steal from all of you. Would you dare to employ a maid like that?
"Call the police."
I was speaking to Eden, but a sharp male voice suddenly cut me off.
"I'd like to see who dares!"
Charlie strode over, followed by a flood of live comments, and stepped protectively in front of Yolanda. "Yolanda is under my protection. Let's see who dares to call the police!"
The comments instantly exploded with excitement.
[The devoted second male lead is finally here! Our precious girl almost got bullied by this vicious woman!]
[Hmph! Let's see how arrogant Naomi can be now. Charlie is the only son of the family. No matter how proud she is, she's still just a useless daughter!]
[It's fine. Once Charlie becomes the head of the Morton family, this villainess will be kicked out!]
Charlie, who got a headache just from looking at company reports, is becoming the head of the Morton family?
I narrowed my eyes slightly. "Charlie, is this how you speak to me? Where are your manners?"
Charlie snorted. "I don't acknowledge someone as vicious as you as my sister. The moment I'm not around, you bully Yolanda however you want!"
I was truly fed up.
Both Charlie and Lionel kept throwing around the word "bully."
Fine. I might as well show them what real bullying looks like.
My expression turned cold as I pointed at the two men standing there with their chins held high. "Strip all three of them."
They looked down on me, yet still wore clothes paid for with my money. Nothing in this world comes for free.
Yolanda quickly raised her hands to cover her chest, her face full of grief and indignation.
Her eyes were red-rimmed as she stared up at me, refusing to look away. "Naomi, why are you forcing me into this? Is it because Lionel doesn't like you? Or because Charlie refuses to acknowledge you as his sister?
"But this is all clearly your fault. You always use your status as the heiress of the richest family to push me aside. You made me wear and use whatever you left behind. You said my status was so low that I wasn't even worthy of standing in your presence!"
As she spoke, tears began to fall down her cheeks.
The crystal-clear droplets fell onto the floor with a soft sound. "Yes, I can't compare to your wealth. I'm not some rich heiress, but I've never felt inferior because of my background. I stand taller and straighter than all of you rich people!
"So what if you have money? You still can't get the love you've always wanted!"
If she truly didn't care about her background, then why did she go around pretending to be a rich heiress using the luxury items I gave her?
The comments were like a group of fools. No matter what Yolanda said, they blindly agreed.
[Our precious girl said it so well. I'm crying. I even know a rich girl like that, always looking down on people!]
Chapter 3 — I'd Like to See Who Dares
[Exactly! So what if she's rich? The man even the villainess could only dream of is actually chasing our Yolanda. This is so satisfying.]
[I feel so bad for our girl, but it's okay. The third male lead is about to arrive and help her completely humiliate that evil woman!]
[The third male lead is almost here! Ah! Mr. White is finally making his entrance. It's such a pity he's not the main lead. I love the storyline later where he gets jealous and locks the female lead up!]
So there really was a third male lead.
And he was the type who didn't hesitate to cross legal lines and play dangerous games.
I shifted my gaze toward the entrance and saw a tall man walking in against the light.
He wore a perfectly tailored suit, his hair slicked back, revealing a smooth and sharply defined forehead.
Across the crowd, his gaze landed directly on me, and he smiled politely. "I wonder what my girl did to offend you, Ms. Morton? She's quite delicate. If she catches a chill at your birthday party today, I'll have to hold you accountable."
My expression darkened.
I didn't expect the third male lead to be Victor White.
The White family was rumored to control everything in the region, and he was the most ruthless among them. At a young age, he had already earned the approval of his grandfather, Harper White, and had nearly monopolized the entire import and export business in the area.
In our circle, there was a saying—you could offend anyone, but never him. He was a madman.
How did those two even meet?
The comments instantly exploded.
[Mr. White is so charming! Did he just call Yolanda "his girl"?]
[I'm shipping this so hard, I'm losing it! Look at the villainess's face! Now she finally realizes our girl isn't someone she can mess with. Hmph! Mr. White could crush her with just a flick of his finger!]
[Don't be angry, girls. It won't be long now—there'll soon be a scene where Mr. White has the villainess's legs broken and slowly drives her toward death, all to avenge our precious girl!]
Victor still wore that faint smile as he walked over and pulled Yolanda into his arms, openly standing up for her. "Ms. Morton, I think it's time you apologize to Yolanda."
The threat in his tone was unmistakable.
I frowned, but before I could speak, a voice from the doorway cut in.
"Apologize? For what? Yolanda hasn't even apologized for stealing my daughter's dress yet."
Mom had just returned from a trip abroad with Dad. They had planned to surprise me for my birthday, but instead walked straight into this mess.
Victor might act arrogantly toward me, but in front of the elders, he still knew how to restrain himself.
The faint smile on his face faded slightly. "Mr. Morton and Mrs. Morton."
Mom took off her sunglasses and rolled her eyes at him without a hint of concern. "The Morton family doesn't welcome guests like you who treat our reputation like a doormat."
Then she turned to Dad. "See them out."
The day after the birthday party, Lionel couldn't wait to announce online that our engagement had been called off.
At the same time, the topic shot to the top of the trending list, and he started a livestream using the company's official account.
Netizens hadn't expected that right after the headline went viral, the main person involved would immediately go live, claiming he would answer everyone's questions. Within just a few minutes, the livestream was flooded with over a million viewers.
I looked up at the comments, which were once again exploding as they waited for the so-called humiliation moment to unfold.
[The humiliation scene I've been waiting for is finally here! Expose the villainess's true colors and let everyone tear her apart!]
[Exactly! Join the Anti-Naomi Alliance! As long as Naomi is alive, we'll keep insulting her every single day!]
I tapped into the livestream without hesitation.
From the tablet came Lionel's slightly exhausted voice. He explained, "I sincerely apologize for previously hiding the fact that I was already engaged. There was never any emotional foundation between Naomi and me. I originally thought treating it as a marriage of convenience would be fine. But what she did yesterday really crossed my bottom line."
I let out a mocking laugh.
A marriage of convenience?
With the Morton family's status, it was more like I was running a carefully targeted charity program.
Then Lionel began to exaggerate what happened yesterday.
He described Yolanda as an innocent and pitiful girl who simply wanted to try on a beautiful dress she had never worn before, only to be humiliated by me and almost stripped in public.
Anger was evident on his face. "Yolanda is such a fragile girl. Naomi dared to treat her like that even with Charlie and me present. I can't even imagine what kind of life she has been living behind the scenes!
"Because of what happened with Yolanda, I've decided to end my engagement with Naomi. No matter how much she tries to cling to me this time, I won't soften my heart again!"
