Chapter 1

【Jason POV】
“Lowly omega, this is your final warning! Get the hell out of Nuremberg Lycan Noble Academy right now, or you’re as good as dead!”
In the abandoned gym that reeked of rust and rot, Helena, the alpha daughter of the Storm Pack, spat out the order with pure contempt. She even pressed her bloodstained leather boot onto my head.
I knelt there, battered and bruised, my blood pooling on the floor and reflecting the faces of Helena’s twelve noble friends. They circled me like hyenas, ready to tear me apart at any moment.
“I’m not leaving!”
I shoved her foot off my head with all the strength I had left and lifted my chin. “I got in here on merit, through special admission. The Empire is civilized now, and I’ll use my knowledge to become someone this Empire actually needs.”
“Merit?”
Helena turned to her packmates, laughing like she had just heard the most ridiculous joke in the world. “Did you hear that? This mangy, crippled wolf trash is talking about merit.”
They all burst into laughter.
Helena suddenly shoved me hard, sending me sliding backward.
“The glory of the Voss Empire is built on our noble blood and raw strength, not your pathetic grades or your ridiculous knowledge.”
She stomped on my chest and towered over me as she declared, “A crippled mutt who can’t even fully shift has no right to be in the same school or breathe the same air as us.”
Every word she spoke felt like a nail hammered straight into my bones.
My wolf, Fenrir, was born with a defect. Growing up in the Iron Fang Pack meant endless mockery from my brothers, cold shoulders from my parents, and scornful looks from the clan.
Even though the Voss Empire had passed the Werewolf Fairness Code long ago—banning discrimination against omegas and telling us we did not have to kneel before nobles anymore—nothing truly changed.
I threw myself into my studies. I poured every ounce of effort into getting special admission here so I could finally hold my head high, prove that knowledge could change my fate, and maybe even make my family proud.
Yet here I was, crushed again. Crushed by class. Always class.
Fists rained down on me like hail. I curled up to protect my vital spots, but the pain still cut through me like knives.
“Face it, Jason. You’re just a low-class omega.”
“Jason, this is all you’ll ever be. This is your destiny.”
All those cold stares and sneers mixed with Helena’s curses. They crashed into me all at once. The past I thought I had escaped dragged me back into the abyss, pulling my mind deeper and deeper.
No. I refuse to give in.
I bit down hard on my tongue, forcing myself to stay awake.
I have a reason to hold on—Lucia.
The girl who found me alone, licking my wounds in the empty library. The girl who bandaged me up and encouraged me.
She came from a noble beta family, yet she never looked down on me. Instead, she told me softly, “Jason, you’re not worthless. You have a heart as kind as the moon goddess.”
After every beating, she brought me medicine and helped me seek support.
She ignored the disgusted looks from others, wrapped me in a warm hug, and said, “Jason, you’re strong. You deserve to be loved.”
Lucia is the light in my life.
Thinking of her in this darkest moment gave me strength again.
Smack—
I reached out and grabbed Helena’s ankle.
My muscles trembled as I stopped her foot mid-air.
“My dignity…”
I clenched my teeth, my voice and my eyes full of stubborn fire. “You’ll never take it from me.”
“Dying for it, huh?”
Helena’s face twisted with rage.
Then suddenly…
“Stop!”
A heart-wrenching scream echoed through the gym.
I lifted my head, and a ray of sunlight caught Lucia’s golden hair, making her look like an angel sent to save me.
“Jason!”
Lucia choked on her words as she rushed toward me and pulled me into a tight hug. “I’m sorry I’m late.”
“Let’s go.” I croaked, pushing her slightly.
“No. I’m never leaving you.”
Wiping the tears off her face, Lucia glared at Helena with fierce anger.
But Helena spat back, “Traitor.”
She grabbed Lucia by the hair and slammed her to the ground. “You come from a noble beta family, yet you choose this omega filth who reeks of dirt. You’ve tainted noble blood. You’re a disgrace to your class.”
Blood trickled from Lucia’s mouth, but she did not flinch. “This is none of your business. Jason’s character is nobler than all of you.”
Helena’s cheek twitched. “Still don’t get it? You’re now the enemy of our noble family. You like this loser, huh? Then go to hell with him.”
She snatched a rusty iron rod off the floor and swung it straight at Lucia’s head.
“Lucia!”
I screamed and rushed forward.
Kenny—Helena’s most loyal thug—leaped out and slammed me back down with a vicious kick. Three other male werewolves joined him and pinned me to the floor.
“You worthless piece of trash, listen up. Scum like you and your little gang are nothing but toys for us to tear apart.”
Kenny spat the words like poison, and the eight female werewolves swarmed forward, launching a brutal assault on Lucia.
“Jason… Jason…”
Lucia rolled on the floor like a discarded rag doll, her voice fading with every second. The sound stabbed through my chest like a blade.
The only light in my life was about to go out.
Power! I needed power to protect Lucia.
My teeth clenched so hard they almost cracked. Veins bulged along my arms and legs. My willpower stretched to its absolute limit.
Then…
Pfft—
A faint pop echoed in my chest, as if some hidden seal inside me had broken open.
A wild and ancient force surged through me, awakening without warning.
A ripping pain tore through my heart, burning like molten lava. The heat spread through every vein and artery. My blood boiled. My bones, muscles, and tendons ripped apart inch by inch.
In that blazing agony, my wolf Fenrir exploded from weak to fierce, filling every cell with violent strength.
“Ha!”
I let out a savage roar and tore free from their grip.
Kenny and the others stared at me, their eyes wide with horror, as a dark golden light flickered in mine. My muscles bulged and burst through my skin, steel-hard wolf fur erupting across my body. In seconds, I transformed into a massive, ferocious gray wolf.
“No. This isn’t possible. You’re just a low-level omega. How can you fully transform?”
Kenny stumbled backward, shaking.
“Get the hell out of my way.”
I snarled and swung my head upward. My blow sent the three male werewolves flying as if struck by a speeding truck.
Pushing off with my hind legs, I lunged at Kenny and knocked him to the floor. Without hesitation, I bit down hard.
“Ah!”
My razor-sharp teeth pierced through Kenny’s face like steel spikes. His screams tore through the air as his body convulsed.
“Kenny! Why the hell are you screa—”
Helena turned around, but her voice cut off instantly.
“How is this possible?”
She stared at me—this massive gray wolf with dark golden pupils burning with a rage deeper than any ocean. Her proud noble expression shattered, replaced by trembling fear.
“You hurt what I love. Die!!!”
The floor shook beneath me as I charged forward like a wild beast unleashed.

Chapter 2

【Jason POV】
“Stop him!”
Helena’s most loyal friend, Ursula, shouted as she shoved two female werewolves forward as human shields.
I lifted my wolf head high and charged. Nothing could stop me. Anything in my path was knocked aside like it weighed nothing.
“Stop! Or I’ll kill her!”
Helena screamed, pressing a sharp knife against Lucia’s pale neck.
I lunged in an instant, biting into Helena’s arm. She shrieked, and with a fierce twist of my head, I flung her across the ground.
I was about to finish this vicious woman when she shifted into her wolf form.
“Arrrrooo!”
Howls exploded around me. Helena’s noble packmates transformed and rushed in from every direction like a tidal wave.
I crashed into a brutal fight, my strength draining fast. The power inside me wasn’t mine and it was tearing my body apart piece by piece.
Seeing my condition, Helena and her pack went feral. They lunged at me with teeth and claws, shredding my weakening wolf body.
No. I can’t fall here. I still have to protect Lucia.
“Grrr!”
I let out a broken howl and slammed into several wolves. Using every bit of strength I had left, I leapt onto Lucia.
My legs shook uncontrollably, but I kept standing. I forced myself to shield her with the last of my will.
Bones cracked. Muscles tore. Claws ripped into me from every angle. I felt myself being torn open, but I didn’t move.
“Jason…”
Lucia’s eyes fluttered open. She reached out, gently touching my bloodied wolf face. There was no fear in her eyes. Only pain and pride. “You’ve… gotten so strong…”
“Lucia, hold on,” I whispered inside my mind as my vision dimmed.
Pain crashed over me. Everything blurred.
Right before losing consciousness, my only thought was to use my last breath to protect the girl beneath me.
……
“Lucia!”
I jolted awake, shouting her name.
But instead of the battlefield, I found myself in a white room filled with the faint scent of herbs.
The witch hospital?
Where is Lucia?
I forced myself out of bed despite the stabbing pain. I staggered into the hallway, calling her name again and again.
“Lucia!”
I finally found her. She was bruised and battered, lying unconscious with her brow tightly furrowed as if she were still suffering in her sleep.
“Lucia, I’m sorry…”
My heart twisted painfully. I took her hand, unaware that tears were spilling from my eyes. “Please get better. I’m right here.”
Footsteps thundered behind me.
Someone grabbed me and threw me to the floor.
“You filthy omega! How dare you show up here!?”
I stared wide-eyed as Lucia’s father kicked and punched me in a rage.
“You damn trash! You tried to rape my daughter! You deserve to die!”
Rape?
What the hell was he talking about?
My mind went completely blank.
A middle-aged werewolf dressed in a black trench coat stepped in and stopped him. He pulled me back.
“I’m Francis, an officer with the Order Committee,” he said as he showed me his badge. “Jason, you’re accused of attempting to rape Lucia, seriously violating the Transformation Code by shifting on campus, and attacking Helena and other noble werewolves. Public anger is overwhelming. You could face life imprisonment.”
“No! That’s insane! I was protecting Lucia! Everything I did to Helena and her pack was self-defense. I can prove it all. I have letters showing my relationship with Lucia, and I’ve reported the long-term bullying to the school and the order Committee.”
I couldn’t let them lock me up. If that happened, who would protect Lucia?
Helena and her pack were the criminals. They should be the ones behind bars.
Following Francis’s instructions, I asked my family to bring me the evidence from home. But my brother and my parents didn’t even move.
“The Alpha of the Storm Pack said that if you plead guilty, our Iron Fang Pack and the Constance family will receive massive resources. You might even take control of the Iron Fang Pack and raise our family to Alpha status.”
My brother Mark spoke coldly, without a shred of emotion. “Our family has been in decline. We’re close to losing our Beta position. We must take this opportunity.”
“No. I’m staying with Lucia.”
My refusal came without hesitation.
“Jason, you’ve been a burden to this family for years. It’s time you do something useful. Let go of this pointless love. It’s nothing compared to the family’s interests.”
Mark glared at me with irritation.
My heart pounded in rage. My love for Lucia was everything. Nobody had the right to belittle it.
I was about to explode when my father spoke quietly.
“Jason, Helena’s family is powerful. If you refuse, our family and Lucia will suffer their wrath.”
He looked at me with complicated eyes. “You’ve never accepted your fate since childhood. But this world is cruel. Compared to those families, we’re nothing. If you really love Lucia, you know what the right choice is.”
I looked at my family. Every pair of eyes was cold, calculating, or resigned. Not one person stood beside me.
My rage crumbled into helplessness.
Standing alone against that kind of power… I was just one insignificant life. Even if I was willing to risk everything, what about Lucia?
Would she be forced to live in terror?
After a long silence, I lifted my head and looked straight at Mark.
“I have one condition: Lucia must be safe and happy.”
Mark nodded. “You have my word.”
…
Bang—!
In the circular courtroom beneath the dark dome, the judge slammed down his gavel.
“Jason Constance, you are sentenced to life imprisonment. You will serve your sentence at Devil’s Island Prison.”
The moment the verdict was announced, Helena and her group cheered.
Helena stood and smiled triumphantly. “Jason, now you finally understand what I told you. If not, I’ll send someone to help you remember.”
I guessed her people would finish me off soon.
I thought that.
But it didn’t matter anymore.
I had nothing left to lose.
“Jason…”
As the bailiff dragged me away, my mother slipped a letter into my hand. “Stay alive.”
The paper was old and worn from being read countless times.
Lucia’s handwriting appeared before me again, along with her smiling face.
Jason, I’m waiting for you to chase your dreams. When that day comes, we’ll have our wedding on the biggest moonlit lawn in Nuremberg. I’ll wear the most beautiful white wedding dress. Don’t rush. I’ll wait for you… and support you all the way…
Tears filled my eyes. My shattered heart felt warm again. My numb limbs regained strength.
How could I give up? Lucia was still waiting for me.
I had to grow stronger. I had to understand the mysterious power inside me and find a way out.
Lucia, I’ll return. And when I do, I’ll have the strength to protect you for the rest of our lives.
Everyone who hurt us… when the gates of Devil’s Island open again, their doom will begin with my return.

Chapter 3

【Jason POV】
“Let me read you what this messed-up bitch wrote to him, haha!”
In the dark, cramped prison cell, the lackeys Helena had sent tore Lucia’s letter from beneath my pillow.
The bald werewolf leader unfolded it and began reading in a warped, mocking voice. “Oh, my Jason, you poor thing, no one ever loved you since you were a kid…”
“Shut the hell up! Give me back my letter!”
I lunged forward, furious and desperate to take it back, but the bald werewolf kicked me aside as if I weighed nothing.
“Miss Helena said she wants to destroy you completely, mind and body.”
He sneered cruelly and continued reading. “Oh, Jason, since you’re not here, I had to find Master Kenny to keep me company. He’s way better than you…”
“Shut the fuck up!!!”
I struggled wildly, but four werewolves pinned me down with brute force.
Those bastards were twisting Lucia’s letter and mocking everything we had.
My chest burned with rage as I pushed forward with all the strength I had left.
Then, fueled by sheer will, a ripping pain exploded in my heart. A flash of dark gold light flickered in my eyes. The mysterious overpowering force returned.
“Get the fuck away!”
Veins bulged across my skin as I tore free from their grip and snatched the letter out of the bald werewolf’s hands.
Just like before, my frail body couldn’t contain this power for long. The strength drained out of me, leaving me unable to fight.
“You mangy mutt! You still dare to resist!?”
“Looking for death, you worthless piece of trash!”
“Give us the letter!”
Their curses rained down on me as they beat me mercilessly. I curled up, clutching Lucia’s letter tightly against my chest.
Fenrir…
As my consciousness faded, I called out to my wolf.
What the hell was this mysterious power inside me? How was I supposed to control it?
…
When I finally woke, I was lying in the shaman’s room of Devil Island prison.
Where was the letter?
I panicked and patted myself down. Lucia’s letter was gone.
“Looking for this?”
The blind old werewolf shaman treating me held up the letter and handed it over with a sigh. “You called out her name five hundred and twenty-one times while unconscious. She must mean everything to you.”
I pressed the letter to my chest like a drowning man clinging to his last lifeline. “She’s the only one in this world who cares about me. She’s the only good thing in my life.”
The blind witch doctor gave a faint smile. “Love is the most beautiful thing in this world. It stands above everything. I once had a girl I loved deeply, and she loved me just as much. But I couldn’t protect her.”
His voice hollowed, sinking with hopelessness. “That was sixty years ago. For all those years, even though I confined myself here, the guilt inside me never faded. I blinded myself so she’d remain forever in my world.”
I stared at him in shock, a cold dread crawling up my spine.
Would my future become just as dark and hopeless?
No. I needed power. I needed strength.
“Can you help me?” I asked him. If anyone could, it was someone who had lived as long as he had.
“I need the power to leave this place, return to her, and protect her. Help me finish what you couldn’t.”
He turned his blind eyes toward me. Even without sight, it felt like he was staring straight into my soul.
Suddenly, he reached out and grabbed my hand. “To wield the power of destruction, you must first possess the power to heal.”
A surge of warm life shot from his hand into mine, and I watched my broken body heal rapidly right before my eyes.
I was stunned and exhilarated. This healing was far stronger than any magic potion. He truly could help me.
“There is the bloodline of the Ancestor Wolf within you. He was the strongest battle wolf among the twelve. He was born to protect and fight for protection. His power is wild, but it burns himself out.”
“The power I possess comes from the Healing Wolf, one of the twelve Ancestor Wolves. He was not a fighter, but he held the greatest healing ability in the world. I will transplant a portion of my bloodline into you.”
While healing me, the blind witch doctor revealed secrets about the werewolf clan that I had believed were only ancient myths.
Five thousand years ago, when the werewolf continent was on the brink of destruction due to a natural disaster, one werewolf bathed in the sacred light of the moon goddess and gained power beyond all living things.
He tore through the disaster with overwhelming might. Under the moonlight, his towering figure howled toward the heavens with such force that even the stars trembled.
Alone, he saved the entire werewolf race from extinction.
He was known as the Progenitor Werewolf.
After his death, his power was divided among his twelve offspring, later known as the Twelve Ancestor Wolves.
They did not follow the rule of the Original Werewolf. Instead, each founded their own kingdom, guarding their own lands. Over generations, their bloodline scattered across the continent. Through time, their power faded until it vanished completely, becoming nothing more than a legend.
But now, a legend that should have existed only in history stood right in front of me.
A door to a new world opened, and guided by a blind shaman, I stepped through.
Lucia… Lucia… Lucia…
Every day I spent in the shaman’s room, I carved her name into the wall. Without realizing it, I had etched her name more than thirty times.
During these days, the blind shaman—whose real name was X, though I called him Master Bennett—performed a bloodline transplant. Thanks to him, I gained part of the Healing Wolf’s power.
Under his guidance, I pushed myself to awaken the Battle Wolf’s power, then used the Healing Wolf’s gift to repair my body over and over.
Fenrir and I endured an endless cycle of breaking and rebuilding, growing stronger each time. I began as a low-level omega who couldn’t complete a transformation. Then I became a mid-level omega who could fully shift but lost control. After that, I reached high-level omega, able to maintain my mind for only a short while. Finally, I became a super omega, able to stay transformed for long periods with strength equal to a low-level beta.
In barely over a month, Fenrir and I were reborn.
When I returned to the cage, the bald werewolves surrounded me immediately, ready to “welcome” me back.
“Yo, skinny mutt, you finally crawled out. We thought you died in the shaman’s room.”
I faced them calmly. “Remember this. You’re going to hell because you insulted Lucia’s letter.”
They froze, then burst into hysterical laughter.
Their mocking echoes filled the air until I shifted. A mighty gray wolf crashed down like a storm, spinning through the air with brutal force.
My claws cut through the cell like the scythe of death.
“Slash! Slash! Slash!”
Three blood-red sprays erupted as three werewolves collapsed instantly.
“Roar!”
I lunged again. Another werewolf flew across the cell like a cannonball, bones snapping and muscles ripping.
“W-what? How are you this strong!? No! Don’t!”
The bald werewolf screamed, losing control of his body in terror.
But after the pain and agony I had endured to grow stronger, after becoming a wolf destined to shake the world, I felt no mercy.
“When you sold your freedom and dignity to Helena, you were already dead.”
With that sentence, my claws struck. Silence followed.
“Screech!!!”
A sharp whistle cut through the air. Heavy footsteps thundered down the corridor. The warden burst into the cell block with a squad of guards.
Everyone froze, horrified by the carnage.
“Jason! You’re going to pay for this reckless stunt!” the warden roared. “Grab him!”
I expected this. Master Bennett had already prepared me.
“Warden, maybe we can discuss this in private.”
