Chapter 1 — Divorce

Crash!
The sound of shattering glass echoed from the bedroom.
Theron Larkspur propped himself up on the table with one hand, his face flushed, desire flickering in his eyes. He couldn't believe his eyes as he stared at the 'culprit' before him.
"Theron Larkspur, I've been married to you for three years, and you've never once touched me… I'll let you be with your unattainable love. I'm ending this marriage… after tonight, you can go to her! Consider this night compensation for all these years of emotions I've invested in you… okay?"
With that said, Sabrina Jollivet leaned down and pressed her lips to the man before her as though she was a moth drawn to fire. Her action was both frenzied and desperate.
She knew this was a despicable move, but she had loved him too much and for too long.
All the while, she had suffered greatly, and now, all she wanted was a little consolation.
"Sabrina, how dare you!" Theron clenched his jaw as his fury sprang to life. His handsome face was as black as thunder.
He wanted to push her away, but the wolf inside him was restless, screaming wildly for mating, almost overwhelming his reason.
He couldn't believe this witch was audacious enough to set him up with a love potion.
"I'm afraid of nothing..."
A lone drop of tear slipped out of the corner of Sabrina's eye. Her kisses grew rapid as her inexperienced hands fumbled around his body hastily.
All she wanted was to own him entirely for once.
A wave of fury crashed through Theron.
Alas, things weren't under his control.
Soon, the werewolf's most primal and frenzied instincts gradually took over, with the body's instinctive responses being aroused. As the temperature rose, the last trace of reason was completely swept away by the wind.
His large hand delved into the woman's neckline, rudely undoing the buttons of her innerwear, seizing a handful of plump and full breasts, rough fingertips tracing over sensitive nipples, quickly becoming engorged and hard.
Sabrina's gaze was hazy, her eyes closed, both resisting and welcoming as she arched her waist.
Theron's other hand reached down, pulling forcefully, and Sabrina's dress, along with her underwear, was pulled down to her knees, the already-soaked panties sticking to a lascivious thread.
Theron's heavy breathing became even more intense, seeing the scene. He guided his fully erect rod to the woman's wet entrance, effortlessly penetrating to the hilt.
The emptiness of her flesh was filled, and Sabrina felt a tremendous tearing sensation below.
She painfully raised her head, trying to push the man's chest with her hands to withdraw.
Theron, however, clasped her hands and gave a forceful thrust from the waist, tauntingly saying between breaths, "Why are you dodging away? Isn't this what you wanted? Why act innocent now?"
Sabrina bit her lip, silent. Theron retaliated by accelerating his movements beneath her, repeatedly plunging his large rod into unimaginable depths. The junction of their bodies, with sticky fluids, flowed down Sabrina's thighs.
The temperature in the bedroom continued to rise, echoing with moans that made faces flush and hearts race…
The next day, Sabrina woke up at dawn.
Tamping down on her discomfort, she got out of bed and put on her clothes. After that, she retrieved the wolf fang, symbolizing the Frostfang Pack Luna, from the drawer and placed it on the bedside table. Before leaving, she gazed at the man in the bed.
"Theron, I'll set you free. From today onward, we shall go our separate ways. We will have nothing to do with each other anymore," Sabrina murmured.
Then she averted her gaze and turned to leave.
Her heart was full of bitterness and anguish as she stepped out of the Larkspur Estate.
Sabrina had loved Theron for seven years, but they were people from two different worlds.
Theron was the Alpha of the Frostfang Pack, while she was a witch…
Her mother was a rumored witch with the ability to bring the dead back to life.
Seven years ago, she inherited her mother's healing magic and came to the town, hoping to integrate into human life. There, she met Theron, a tall and handsome werewolf Alpha.
Since then, she had completely fallen for him.
She couldn't forget him, and her greatest wish was to marry him!
However, Theron despised her… hated her for using deceitful magic to gain the position of Luna in his pack.
At that time, his grandfather Alistair Larkspur fell seriously ill, and only witches with healing abilities like her could save him.
The Larkspurs found her, paid a hefty sum, and requested her to concoct a potion for Alistair. However, she had one condition: Theron must marry her.
For the sake of the elder, the Larkspurs reluctantly agreed to the young witch's request.
Sabrina could still remember how delighted she was as she waited for the night of her wedding.
Yet, when Theron showed up, he bore a disgusted expression. "Sabrina, I'll have you know that if it weren't for my grandfather, I would never choose a witch as my mate! Your magic disgusts me! The Luna of the Frostfang Pack is Isabella Felbrigg! Only she is worthy of being my mate, not you!"
From that moment, Sabrina knew their statuses were different, and Theron loathed her magic and healing abilities.
So, she hid everything about being a witch, including the slightest hint of her powers, hoping to assimilate into the Frostfang Pack.
Yes, Theron wasn't obliged to love her. However, she still held on to the hope that the man would warm up to her one day.
In the following three years, she played the role of an ordinary human, refraining from using her magic, no longer brewing potions, and striving to be a good mate.
Every night, she'd prepare dinner so he could come home to freshly cooked meals.
No matter how late it was, she would only go to bed in peace after his return.
If he got drunk from the pack's business socializing, she would take care of him meticulously instead of leaving him in someone else's hands.
Whenever he got ill or hurt, she would be more worried than anyone else.
Every winter, she would switch on the heater and fill the bathtub with hot water for him. In the morning, she'd wake up earlier than usual to warm his clothes up so he wouldn't feel the cold.
Nevertheless, he never loved her, and he never would.
Two days ago was Sabrina's birthday, but Theron went to the hospital to keep Isabella company.
It was then that Sabrina finally understood that her one-sided feelings would never be reciprocated.
She would never make Theron fall for her, for his heart belonged to another woman.
Thus, Sabrina decided to give up.
…
Theron only roused by ten in the morning.
Upon getting out of bed, his first thought was to strangle Sabrina.
The distinguished Alpha of the Frostfang Pack and Larkspur Corp., known for his shrewdness within the pack and in the business world, had never been outwitted or disadvantaged.
Never in his wildest dreams did he expect to fall for the first time into the hands of the witch he had never taken seriously!
Furious, he scanned the room but didn't see the woman's figure. However, in the corner of his eye, he caught sight of an object on the bedside table that looked quite familiar.
Theron frowned, picked it up, and was astonished to find it was the token of their Frostfang Pack Luna passed down through generations—a wolf fang pendant.
Leaving behind the wolf fang that symbolizes Luna's identity. Is this an indication of divorce?
His gaze narrowed dangerously.
First, she fed me a love potion, then she forced me to have sex with her, and now she wants a divorce. Ha! How many tricks does she have up her sleeves?
Theron refused to believe that Sabrina wanted to divorce him for real.
Getting to his feet, he put on his clothes and strode downstairs furiously. "Did you see Sabrina?" he asked the butler, Winston.
Taken aback, Winston replied swiftly, "Luna left home with her luggage before dawn, Alpha."
Hearing that, Theron halted in his tracks in astonishment.
…
Six years later, at Gray School of Magic, Eldoria.
Sabrina had just stepped out of the Alchemy Room when her assistant, Linda Lisle, told her Evander wanted to see her in his office.
After staying up the entire night, Sabrina was feeling drowsy. However, upon hearing Linda's words, she snapped out of her daze as her mind cleared.
"Did he say anything? Don't tell me my little rascals destroyed the research results again?"
"Apparently," Linda answered, shooting Sabrina a sympathetic look.
This witch before her was always efficient in her work and exceptionally talented. At a young age, she became the most accomplished student of Evander Lowry, the pride of the magical world. She had gained quite a reputation in the magical community and had never received criticism in her professional endeavors.
Nevertheless, that didn't stop her from being the scapegoat for her naughty sons.
Linda comforted her, "You spent three days in the Alchemy Room, so Leo and Nox were worried about you. They spent their days bumbling around in Professor Lowry's office. I think he got a few new gray hairs from the trouble they caused."
Hearing that, Sabrina felt an incoming headache. She couldn't help but find the situation funny, too.
Six years ago, after leaving the Frostfang Pack, she went abroad!
Initially, she intended to study magic and healing arts at the academy but soon discovered she was pregnant.
Back then, she was caught in a dilemma on whether she should abort the babies. When she arrived at the hospital, she changed her mind, for she couldn't bear to part with her children.
In the end, she kept them.
Sabrina was pregnant with triplets—two boys and a girl.
During her delivery, her baby girl was born without any signs of life due to a lack of oxygen, and only the boys survived. She nicknamed her sons Leo and Nox.
The thought of her magically powerful sons gave Sabrina utter bliss.
However, she slumped her shoulders when she recalled she was about to get reprimanded, thanks to the sons.

Chapter 2 — The Woman Who Abandoned Her Child

Sabrina hurried to Evander's office.
Upon entering, she saw her two little mischief-makers sitting on the sofa, swinging their legs with shattered vials and spilled green liquid on the floor.
The boys lit up at the sight of Sabrina. Scrambling off the couch, they ran toward her excitedly. "Mommy, you’re finally here! I thought you'd be staying in the Alchemy Room forever!"
"Mommy, you've worked for so long! Are you tired? Sit down. I'll give you a massage."
They led Sabrina to the couch so she could take a seat.
As Sabrina took in their concern, she suddenly felt it was worth it to get yelled at.
"Look at how obedient you are. You weren't like this when you dropped my potions earlier!" Evander huffed angrily behind his desk.
Leo declared, "It was all your fault, Professor Lowry! You kept asking Mommy to work overtime. Look, she's getting malnourished!"
"That's right! How could you ask Mommy to work day and night?" Nox chimed in as he kneaded Sabrina's shoulder.
His temper spiked, Evander gave a bark of laughter and responded, "You're too overprotective of her! Everyone in the potion research institute has gone through the same! "
With that said, he shook his head and turned to Sabrina. "How's the progress with the potion this time?"
Sabrina shot him a grin. "It went smoothly. I'll bring the samples over for you to check later."
She paused before asking, "Has the broken potion been restored?"
Evander ran a hand through his hair in frustration. "No, I just barely passed the Restoration Spell course..."
Amused, Sabrina patted Nox's hand. "Nox, go restore Professor Lowry's potion to its original state. Don't mess around. What if the potion is permanently destroyed? What could we do then?"
Nox immediately replied, "That won't happen, Mommy. Don't you already know that I've learned the Restoration Spell? I won't do things without certainty."
Saying this, he obediently moved to Evander's side and began to restore the mess on the ground.
Smoothly reciting a long string of spells…
A few minutes later, a golden light shone on the ground, and the broken vial immediately returned to its original state, with the liquid inside unharmed.
After seeing this, Evander couldn't help but marvel at the two little boys, who were unbelievably clever!
Leo, at such a young age, mastered healing skills and could identify thousands of medicinal herbs. In alchemy, he demonstrated unique talents, and he also showed special keenness in financial investments.
Nox, on the other hand, was very interested in various magical spells. By now, he had mastered quite a few challenging magic spells. What was even more interesting was his special interest in financial investments.
Besides, both of them were adorable.
Thus, he couldn't bring himself to yell at them whenever they kicked up a fuss. Instead, he could only vent his frustrations on their mother.
Sabrina immediately offered an apology. "I'm sorry, Professor. Please don't blame the kids for their naughty acts."
And don't yell at me, too. I can't always be their scapegoat, can I?
Evander chuckled at her reaction. "Don't worry. I didn't summon you here to yell at you. I have a task for you. Listen, I'm planning to set up a research institute back in Starspire, focusing on medicine making. However, I'm still busy here and can't leave for now. After careful consideration, I've decided to send you back!"
Sabrina had no idea he would say that. She froze and hesitated.
Go back to Starspire, huh?
She never considered returning to that place again after leaving six years ago.
After all, she didn't have a family or someone she cared about back there.
Besides, she had grown to love Eldoria.
Her first reaction was to reject the offer. "Professor, I—"
However, Evander interjected, "Sabrina, I know you may not want to go back, but I still hope you consider it carefully… Over these years, you've been studying medicine and alchemy with me. You should understand that there aren't enough medicinal herbs here for your research. But back in the country, it's different… There are plenty of medicinal herbs for you to use. More importantly, there are many wizarding families in the country, each of them an outstanding wizard. They possess the ancient lineage of alchemical recipes. You are interested in this field, right? So… that's why I suggest you go back!
"With your abilities, you're sure to achieve great things in the future. Moreover, you have undergone a significant transformation now. Even if you encounter any challenges or people, you should be able to handle them well, right?"
At his words, Sabrina fell silent.
He's right. I've changed into a completely different person now. I can face all obstacles without fear. Besides, it has been six years. Perhaps that man is already married to his soulmate. Why am I afraid?
With that thought in mind, Sabrina took a deep breath and nodded solemnly. "All right, then. Professor, I'll listen to you and return to Starspire."
Evander beamed. "I'm glad you made up your mind quickly. Don't worry, this time when you go back, I will have Linda accompany you. Additionally, I will assign some excellent wizards to assist you."
"Great. Thank you, Professor!" Sabrina gave a curt nod.
As they were conversing, Leo and Nox shared a look. They could sense each other's excitement.
Mommy's finally returning to Starspire!
In fact, the two of them had been dying to head back for ages. After all, their father was back there. They wanted to see him in person. Of course, they also wanted to teach him a lesson for being heartless, abandoning them and their mother.
…
Two days later, at the Atlantra Airport, Sabrina, with her two precious sons, set foot again on the land she had been away from for six years.
An accomplished witch could have flown back using the Aviation Spell, but unfortunately, she wasn't proficient in that skill. Her flying skills couldn't sustain such a long journey, especially with two children in tow.
So, she opted for the swift transportation of an airplane.
After disembarking the plane, they walked out of the hallway. Just then, Nox squeezed his legs together and tugged at the corner of Sabrina's skirt. "Mommy, I need to pee."
Sabrina and Leo giggled at the sight of his urgent expression. "Okay. Let's go, then."
She reached out to ruffle Nox's hair.
At once, Nox trembled violently. "Stop it, Mommy. I'm going to pee my pants!"
With a chuckle, Sabrina led him to the restroom.
Leo then brought his brother into the restroom while Sabrina waited outside with their luggage. She didn't forget to send her professor a text to inform him about their arrival.
Suddenly, a familiar voice rang out.
"Worthless! With so many people, how can you lose a child and even lose track of her?! What use do I have for you?!"
There was a hint of fury in the man's melodious, deep, and rich voice. It was pleasing to the ears.
Sabrina's hands, which were initially typing out a message on her phone, froze instantly.
Six years had passed since she last heard this voice, but she still found it eerily familiar.
Looking up, Sabrina spotted the tall figure some distance away.
Standing not far off was a tall man. His black suit accentuated his long legs and added a touch of elegance to his figure. Even in the huge crowd, he was eye-catching.
Sabrina could see his perfect side profile from her line of sight.
His contours seemed like a masterpiece meticulously carved by God, without any flaws. She was certain that this man was the perfect creation of the Moon Goddess, Selene.
Theron Larkspur!
Sabrina's heart clenched at the sight of him.
She had no idea she'd run into him on the day of her arrival.
The feelings she had buried deep in her heart emerged temporarily, but she quickly put a lid on them.
Her gaze turned frosty.
She could finally appear calm before him.
Right then, the boys emerged from the restroom. "Mommy, we're done!" they declared cheerfully.
Sabrina snapped out of her reverie and nearly had a heart attack.
The first thought that popped up in her mind was that she needed to leave right away. I can't let Leo and Nox see him. They bear a resemblance to him. If they bump into each other, he'll definitely realize something's wrong!
Sabrina refused to get involved with him yet again.
Flustered, she urged, "You're done? Come, let's go. Let's not keep Hazel waiting."
Without waiting for a reply, she dragged her luggage away.
Halfway through his phone call, Theron heard a familiar voice and turned to his shoulder.
From the corner of his eye, he spotted a familiar female figure.
Sabrina Jollivet? Is that her? She's back?
It's her, I'm sure of it. That woman carries the scent of our mate. It must be her who's returned, his wolf Luke said with unwavering certainty.
Theron ran after her immediately, but her figure had already disappeared into the crowd.
He tried using a telepathic connection to track her, but to his surprise, she had hidden her presence!
Only a witch could use magic to conceal their aura.
As his gaze turned dark, Theron was about to explode with rage.
She left the country so resolutely and even abandoned her child… Has she come back to seek redemption?

Chapter 3 — The Silent Little Girl

Sabrina's heart lurched to her throat and remained there as she hurried out of the airport. She kept turning at her shoulder to confirm if that dreadful guy was following them.
Fortunately, his figure remained nowhere to be seen even after they exited the airport.
Sabrina could finally heave a sigh of relief, grateful that she had habitually erased the scent belonging to the three of them—mother and sons.
In a place filled with werewolves, hiding their scent was the best way to protect themselves.
The kids found it strange that their mother kept turning her head to glance behind them.
As Sabrina seemed anxious, they knew it wasn't the time to ask questions. Without a word, they allowed her to drag them out obediently.
"Sabrina! Leo! Nox!" A woman called from afar.
The three of them lifted their heads and saw a lady dressed in a suit waving at them happily as she made their way to them.
Sabrina relaxed gradually at the sight of the woman. Flashing a smile, she said, "Hazel, it's been so long!"
Hazel Sibelius was the first good friend Sabrina made in Atlantra. She was also a witch and worked at her family's potion research institute.
Shortly after, Hazel came to a stop before them and flung her arms around Sabrina. "You're finally back home. I've missed you so much!" she said in a joyous manner.
Sabrina chuckled and replied, "I've missed you, too."
They've been in touch online over the years but rarely get the chance to meet each other in real life.
After giving her a hug, Hazel squatted down and pulled the boys into a hug. "My babies, do you miss me?"
Leo and Nox giggled adorably before answering in unison, "Of course we do! We even dreamed of you. You're still as pretty as ever, Miss Hazel!"
"How sweet of you!" Hazel beamed happily after hearing their praise.
Sabrina's guard was still up. She glanced at the gate of the airport and said calmly, "Let's go. We can talk back home."
Hazel gave the boys a peck each on their cheeks before getting to her feet. After placing the luggage in her car truck, she ushered them into her car and sped away.
At the same time, Theron appeared at the airport gate.
"Cancel my schedule overseas," he told his assistant, Adrian Luciano.
Adrian gave a brief nod in acknowledgment. "Alpha, we've widened the search for the princess. She's young and can't go far. Don't worry."
The princess of the Frostfang Pack had always been the Alpha's precious darling. Compared to finding the princess, the tasks abroad were not that significant.
Theron's gaze turned dark as he strode toward the Maybach parked by the road.
Soon, the car drove away.
…
An hour later, Hazel's car appeared in front of a secluded forest cabin in the suburbs.
Sabrina had asked for Hazel's help to rent a place, and this was the house that Hazel had gotten her.
The four of them hopped out of the car and entered the new house under Hazel's lead.
"The surroundings seem nice. I like this place."
Satisfied, Sabrina turned to look at Hazel. "You're quite efficient, huh?"
Hazel quirked a brow noncommittally. "I know you like quietness. No one else lives around here, so you won't be disturbed. You can focus on brewing your potions."
Sabrina's lips curved as she bobbed her head in agreement.
After she unpacked their stuff briefly, it was time for dinner.
Hence, Hazel took the three of them to a restaurant called "Rose on the River" for a meal.
She had just driven into the restaurant's parking lot and was about to park her car when a little girl ran out of a dark corner.
Hazel slammed on the brakes before her car could hit the little girl. In shock, she stared at the girl who had collapsed to the ground.
Sabrina's heart was racing at the near accident, too. She turned to make sure her boys were fine before opening the door to get out.
There was a young girl around five years old, mere inches away from the car. She sat on the ground, clearly in a state of shock.
Sabrina felt her heart soften at the sight. She made her way to the girl carefully before asking, "Hey, are you hurt?"
The young girl had a fair complexion and looked sweet with her hair braided up. She had a tall nose, huge eyes, and delicate features. Dressed in a pink fluffy dress, she hugged an expensive doll in her arms.
Hearing Sabrina's voice, the little girl regained her composure and shook her head shyly. She didn't forget to eye Sabrina warily.
Sabrina's heart stirred as she observed the little girl silently. After confirming that the little girl was unharmed, she heaved an inward sigh of relief and reached out to help the little girl up.
She had just stretched her hand out when the little girl cowered back in fear.
Sabrina's hand paused midair. Flashing an assuring smile, she explained, "Don't worry. I just want to help you up."
Glancing around, she asked doubtfully, "Where are your parents? Why are you alone?"
The young girl hugged her doll tightly and shook her head without uttering a word.
Sabrina's brows snapped together, for she had no idea how to communicate with the girl.
Hazel and the boys soon got out of the car.
Leo and Nox shared a curious look when they noticed the little girl remaining silent the entire while.
She looks cute. Why isn't she talking? Could she be a mute?
