Chapter 1 — The Origin
Olivia's P.O.V.
Looking at myself in a mirror while wearing a tight, black dress is not what I wanted to do with my night. This is all Amelia's fault. Even if she is my best friend, she is pushing the limit of my indulgence with this party. It was all her idea and I am being forced along with it. My wolf had been antsy all day and harder to control, giving me another reason not to go to this stupid party. Unfortunately, Amelia doesn't seem to have an understanding of the word no
The worst part is that the party she is dragging me to is one thrown in the honor of the two visiting Alphas, Alpha Logan and Alpha Sebastian. They were twins and ruled the Blood Moon pack together. They had just signed a treaty to help protect my pack in exchange for some of our land. Given the fact that many of our wolves were dying due to rogue attacks, this was a smart thing. However, Alpha Logan and Alpha Sebastian are notorious for making treaties with packs and then taking them over. I don't like them.
Also, I hate parties and have had a problem with most authoritative figures, something about me being insolent or something. I don't see it. This party was a combination of the two, but I have no choice. I wasn't going to have fun even if Amelia disagreed. She always ditched me at the entrance to go dance.
"Damn girl, you look smokin' hot," comments Amelia who is looking me up and down. I grunt in answer, still not happy about this situation.
She shrugs in the face of my wrath, "C'mon let's go, we will be late."
I mumble, "Would that only be a bad thing though."
By her lack of answer, Amelia didn't hear me. Despite being only sixteen, she is a party animal. I am sixteen too, but not interested in any of that stuff. Amelia always says that I should live my late fully before I find my mate. I mean technically I am old enough to find my mate, but that won't probably happen this soon. Like the twin Alphas, they are 20 and still don't have a mate. Twins share one mate of course and it is always harder to find a mate for their situation.
I follow Amelia out of the house and down the street. I live pretty close to the pack house where the party is happening. Amelia knew I was upset, so she didn't even attempt conversation. I am well known for my temper. As my best friend, Amelia isn't at the receiving end of it and usually encouraging my fights. But now she might in the unfortunate position of me losing my cool, there is only so much I can take. Once we arrived at the party, I lost Amelia in like two seconds. I already saw that coming and I found myself on the dance floor. I love dancing, so I honestly don't mind. Throughout the night, my actions became mechanic: take the shot of vodka and dance. I am really drunk, but I didn't care. It was the most fun I had in ages, maybe Amelia I was right. I do need to get out more and if every party is like this, count me in!
I am dancing alone or with a partner, it didn't matter to me. At one point, Amelia came back around to me, dragging a man behind her. Seeing her, I stopped and slipped out of the embrace of the woman I had been dancing with to meet my best friend. Her smile went from ear to ear and I assumed the best
She told me, "Liam, meet my best friend Olivia. Olivia, meet my mate!" I guessed right, I'm so happy for her! Finding your mate at 16 doesn't tend to happen that often and she is lucky to have that. I just hope Liam can keep up with her. I shake his hand, "Nice to meet you."
He takes Amelia's hand in his own, "Nice to meet you too. I am Liam, Beta of the Blood Moon pack." I already figured that out by his dominance and Amelia sort of introduced him. I kept my smile on my face as I was too drunk to care. Without further ado, both of them took off, leaving me alone. I thought about stopping drinking. I dismiss the thought. I am alone and what better way to numb that pain then drinks? Not my smartest moment, but as a werewolf, I can usually hold my alcohol. So, I kept drinking. My sober self would be yelling that I am putting myself in a potentially unsafe situation. My drunk brain didn't give two shits about that. I am upset at the fact that my best friend is leaving me. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for her. I just felt so alone right now. I'm not the most social person and Amelia had always been there for me. Wobbly, I returned to the dance floor.
Soon enough, I felt two intense stares burning holes into my body. My curiosity practically made me turn around and stare back at the strangers. And damn, those were a pair of fine strangers. I We stared at each other as I continued dancing, but my mouvements changed. They became less random, more seductive. Apparently, my drunken brain thinks it's a good idea to get laid. Gone was the idea of waiting for my mates. My dance must have encouraged them to come over because that's exactly what they did. In the back of my head, my wolf instincts were basically yelling something. However, the alcohol stopped it from truly hitting me. All that was on my mind is my two handsome strangers.
If I was truly sober, I would have taken note that they were twins or the fact that it might be wrong to take two guys my first time. But I am drunk and didn't give two fucks. There is a proper reason why I rarely head to parties. Without Amelia here to stop me, I am about to make some of the best worst decisions of my life. The two handsome strangers sandwiched me between them. My wolf felt safe there like it was the place we were meant to be. That's the only thing I really got from my technical wolf. My instincts were yelling something else too, but I didn't really care. All I wanted was to get with these two hot twins next to me.
The one on my left said, "If you keep dancing like that, you might get hurt." It was an obvious attempt at flirting, not the best I've heard, but decent nonetheless. I kept dancing, now more like grinding on them. They both groaned and the one on my right told me, "We need to get somewhere more private fast, don't ya think?" He had a slight accent to his words, but I found it more hot than anything else
I nodded, unable to make words without slurring due to lust and drunkenness. The three of us made it upstairs and into the bedroom. I made out with the one in front of me while the one behind me trailed kisses up and down my neck. This is going to be fun!
****************
The next morning, I awoke in a strange bed naked and alone. I shot up at the realization I was not at home. Laying back down on the empty strange bed, my memories of last night came flooding back. I can't believe that I just lost my V-card to two random werewolves! I blame Amelia for dragging me to the party. I always had wanted not to sleep around before my mate, but too late now. Then, a sudden realization came to me, the reason my wolf felt so safe in their presence. The two twins from last night were my mates. Now that I was sober, I could remember their intoxicating smell and the sparks whenever we touched. Those were the two foolproof ways of identifying your mate and there had been both. Along with the connection forming with eye contact that most likely happened, but I was drunk. But then why would they leave before I wake up? As destined soulmates, we were supposed to spend the rest of our life together. I got out of the bed and wrapped the sheet around my body to hide myself. Seeing a note on the night stand, I reached out and grabbed it before opening it to read it:
She-Wolf,
This was just sex, nothing more and nothing less. Do not get the impression just because we fucked you that you are our mate. You are not her and don't come looking for us. Last night was a one time thing and we will never take you to be our Luna.
- Alphas Logan and Sebastian of Blood Moon
It dawned on me what that meant. Rejection. To them, I had been an easy fuck. I curse myself stupid, I was so stupid. No wonder I was so happy to give away my innocence last night. I knew subconsciously that these were my mates. They didn't give a fuck anyway.
I felt incredibly sad. I couldn't face Amelia like this. I couldn't face anyone like this. The worst part was that Amelia was with their Beta too! I could definitely not see her again or her mate. Where their Beta was, the Alphas would be too. I will accept my rejection with grace and leave them alone, even if it meant avoiding Amelia at times. I won't let them humiliate me again.
However, there was another issue, I couldn't stay at the Crescent pack, my pack. As part of the alliance, this territory would be taken by the Blood Moon pack. This is why the party was here. In all, my home place would become part of Blood Moon as well as the wolves on it. There had been the option to move, but my parents refused. I would have to face the Alphas nearly every day, see them fuck different females under my noses, make someone else their Luna. I'm not that strong, I would break at that. I just wanted my mates and not have to deal with these problems. I just wanted a simple, normal life. Was that just too much to ask?
I needed to leave. I needed to run far away from here and not be the pitied, rejected mate. I would never get over them if I stayed. With a plan in mind, I got up off the bed and rummaged through the random closet of the room. If I went down in my dress, nothing else would scream more 'I just got laid'. Packs usually had extra clothes in case of a random shift or something. We destroyed our clothes when we shifted. I found a huge T-shirt and some jeans that about fit me. I was ready to leave the house. I tried to be sneaky, making sure no one ever knew I was there.
I ran to my own home and quickly packed a bag. My parents and I were not close at all. They were always out on patrols or doing their duties. I wasn't really raised by them, I raised myself. That's partially why I felt so abandoned when Amelia had her mate, she would leave me. I really had no one else as sad as that may seem to others.
I still didn't want to cause any worry, so I left behind a note, an explanation to my actions:
Dear Mom and Dad,
I am sorry to leave you like this. I just want you to know that I love you more than anything in the world. At the party, I met my mates and they rejected me. I can't stand living here, so close to them. I need to get away. I won't come back, but I will try to send word of my health.
Love you,
Your daughter Olivia
P.S. Amelia, I am sorry I left you without saying good-bye. I was just worried that I would run into my mates if I came to see you. Best of luck with your mate, Liam. To reassure you, I promise that I will see you again.
Now, I am good to go. Leaving my house, I ran to the woods. I need to make it to our border in human form to shift afterwards. I had a map, stolen from my parents, and I planned to head to No Man's Land. Maybe there I could make something of myself. I could be a normal human, start a new life.
It was a peaceful run to the border. I love the forest, it was where I felt free. I knew all the paths that could avoid other people. I am sad to leave my home, but I hope that there is something better out there. If I was pessimistic, I might as well kneel over and die. When I reached the border of my pack, I said the ritual words, "I, Olivia Miller, hereby cut all of my ties with this pack to henceforth be rogue."
I felt the connection break and the confusion of my pack mates fade. Until someone read my letter, no one would know what caused me to go rogue. I felt slightly guilty not to have spoken to Amelia face-to-face before running. But I really didn't want to run into my mates. Call me coward, but public humiliation isn't my sort of thing. I shifted into my white and black wolf, putting the pack on my back. I start to run towards my new destination. I simply hope that there would be something more for me out there, anything.
Chapter 2 — Pregnant
Olivia's P.O.V.
I have been on No Man's Land as a rogue for about five weeks now. Things actually were starting to look up. I had a place to stay, friends, food and a job. I had met Mateo and his mate Danielas soon as I stepped foot unto No Man's Land. They had been banished from a traditional pack for being gay. I had no problem with that, so we ended up traveling together. It was nice to have some company. We all became fast friends though our meeting would never have hinted at such a thing:
I had crossed the last pack border into No Man's Land ten minutes ago. It was refreshing to be able to travel without having to look behind your shoulder all the time in search of a pack member who might have spotted you. I was free and right now, it was enough. But sadly, things couldn't stay this way.
I heard them before seeing them. On instinct, as a female without protection, I hid myself. I saw the two men appear. They were bickering. It was kind of funny to watch as long as they didn't see me. They smell like werewolves and because of that both were about 6 feet tall. I couldn't take both of them on at once, so I stayed in my hidden corner.
The one with blue eyes said, "I know that the town is that way."
The other retorted, "I have the map, so I should no better." This continued on for a while until the one with blue eyes kissed the one with brown eyes to shut him up. I gasped, I didn't have anything against it, but I rather thought they behaved more like bickering brothers than mates. My gasp made them realize they were not alone.
Blue eyes asked, "Who's there?"
"Come out! We heard you judge us silently," ordered the other. I started laughing. It appeared Brown eyes thought my gasp was because I hated gay guys. Blue eyes walked over to where I was and crouched. I couldn't stop laughing. Apparently, my survival instincts haven't kicked in yet.
He said to his mate, "C'mon Mateo, it is safe. It's just a girl."
Mateo bent down and asked me gently, "What are you doing here girl? It isn't safe. Come help her up, Christian." So, their names were Mateo and Christian. I still couldn't stop laughing.
Danieljust sighed and stated, "She's clearly crazy. We should leave her to die." That statement offended me greatly.
"I am not crazy, you are," I shot back. We spent the next five minutes going back and forth, taking jabs at each other.
In the end, Mateo just said, "Let's go find someplace to stay the night!" Male werewolves tend to be more protective of their female counterparts. Why? I have no idea, but that's how it is. So, Mateo felt obligated to take me with them.
After we got over arguing, we got along. Mateo and Danielhad been here two days more than me. All three of us have various jobs to pay the rent on our two bedroom apartment that we share. I was happy with the position that we are in, but of course, my body's menstrual cycle had to fuck it all up.
Right now, I was currently freaking out at the doctor's office with Mateo and Danieltrying to calm me. My brain had finally did simple math and came up with the answer of I'm in deep shit. My period is a five weeks late. I had sex five weeks ago. I could be pregnant with my mates' children who rejected me. Fuck, fuck, fuck! Mateo and Danielknew all about Levi and Sebastian, my mates. They wanted to come support me. I was grateful for that. "Olivia!" called out the nurse. We got up and walked to a room. Werewolf pregnancies, especially alpha ones tend not to show up with the regular pregnancy tests due to their fast maturing. I just wanted to know for sure.
A couple minutes later, a doctor popped in. She says, "I see you are here to see if you are pregnant." I nod, unable to speak. "Ok, let me do the test and we will see."
She did the test and I held my breath. Then, she smiled at me and told me, "Congratulations, you are going to be a mother!" I froze. I didn't move when the doctor left or when my friends tried to talk to me. All I could think about is my child will grow up without a father and packless. I never wish that on any child. Eventually, Danielgot through to me by saying, "Don't worry about your asshole mates. Mateo and I can be fathers to your children. It is not like we can reproduce."
That relieved some of my pent-up stress. I smile at him grateful, "Thanks!"
Mateo returns my smile with a grin of his own, "Anytime, doll! We are your friends!"
*******
I was now technically 12 weeks pregnant, but I looked like I was in my third trimester. Since this was an Alpha werewolf pregnancy, it will only last five months which is nice because I decided that I didn't like being pregnant. Sure, it was nice to know I was growing another being in me, but no.
I was back at the doctor's office to discover my baby's gender. Only Mateo came with me this time because Danielhad his job. I had to pretend to be more advanced than I should be to not arouse human suspicion. Humans are pretty stupid, but not that much. I mean they haven't noticed that the supernatural exist. I mean haven't they noticed why all the natural parks are private? Because that's werewolf territory! "Olivia!" called out the nurse. Mateo and I got up to go into one of the ultrasound rooms. The nurse came in a minute later and didn't even talk to us. She didn't have a very pleasant bedside manner, not that I blame her. I wouldn't want to be a doctor, nope. I actually had some training as a warrior from when I was pack. We had filled out all the forms beforehand, I wanted to be in and out. I had a job to get to. The nurse squirted a cold gel on my stomach and started moving the sensor around. I was squeezing Mateo's hand so hard, I don't even know why I was freaking out so much. The nurse made occasional noise of approval and then suddenly gasped.
I asked confused, "What's wrong? What is it?"
"You are not only having twins, but triplets!" answered the nurse joyfully, "I think that the two of them are identical twins and they seem to be two boys, but the third one is fraternal and a girl! Your man must have some very viable sperm."
"Yes, it so seems," I replied dryly. Of course, having twin mates usually means having twins I guess, but triplets! That is so much more. I am going to have three little demon spawn running around. If they were anything like me as a child, I was totally and utterly fucked. I was that child who played with science material and blew up a tree.
Mateo and I thanked the nurse who had assumed Mateo was the father. I nearly laughed at loud when she said that. Mateo was gay as fuck. He's known that ever since he was young, but only came out when his pack had tried to force Danielinto a mating with a woman. At that point, they were banished for being guy. It's 2019 people, get with the times!
We made it back home where Danielwas waiting for us. The moment we crossed the threshold, he pounced, "Well, what were the results?"
I said, "I'm having triplets." Danielliterally squealed and hugged me, "I am so excited."
Mateo added, "Two boys and a girl."
******
"PUSH!" yelled the doctor. I was about to give birth to my daughter. My two boys, Levi and Elijah, came out easily. Mia, my daughter, was a little harder. I had already broken Mateo's hand from squeezing it too hard. Giving birth is painful as fuck! No one told me that, another of my mother's shortcomings. "PUSH!" said the nurse this time. I did and Mia came out. I was able to have all three of my babies in my arms. They were all beautiful with their green eyes with flecks of gold, just like theirs fathers.
I would always be content if could say like this forever. Mateo and Chris were at my side, cooing at my babies. I cannot believe that I am only seventeen, yet the proud mother of three children. My birthday had passed while I was pregnant about a month ago. I murmured to Mateo and Chris, "Thank you for being here!"
Mateo gave me a quick hug, "This is what friends do. You're practically my sister!"
I smile, "I wish every rogue had the support you gave me, it would help so many."
Chris chuckled, "We'd name the group after you, the Helping Miller."
Mateo shoved his mate playfully, "That sounds stupid. You would need funding and some name that would sound normal to humans like the Miller corporation or-"
I shake my head, "The Miller Organization sounds better!"
We playfully teased each other while we had no idea that this idea born at the same time as my babies would grow into our life's work. But right then, I had never been so happy as I was just then with my babies, Mateo, and Danielaround me. Who even needs my mates? Not me !
Chapter 3 — Hunters
Olivia's POV
Humming a merry tune, I made breakfast for my little pups, though they aren't that small anymore. I needed to butter them up for the topic of conversation I wanted to have. My babies were the best, but hated their fathers. I tried my best to make sure they didn't despite my own hate for them. Their note that they had left me on the table broke my heart and it's only because I never confronted them again that I was alive.
Their note was enough for a partial rejection but due to the fact that they didn't use my name and never rejected me in their presence, I was able to keep going. Mateo, Chris and now the Miller Organization was helpful like that. My friends had helped us settle down and now all of us were involved in something more to help others. I guess it's my destiny as I had been destined to be a Luna whose job is to help care for the pack.
The Miller Organization was just an idea of mine from after I gave birth. Mateo and Chris however ran with it. First by the time the triplets were 2, we set up a legit human business to cover up future supernatural dealings for rogues. Mateo and Chris had tried to keep me out of the next step. They had set up a human mafia by the time my babies were 5. They hid it for a year, but I finally confronted them and they admitted to it. When my babies were 7, we had managed to become a known rogue Organization that functions like a pack.
Sadly, this also put a target on our backs. Mostly because we protected everyone. If you are human who knows about the supernatural, we would take you. A Hunter that wants to escape his lifestyle, we welcomed them. A werewolf, vampire, fairy or even half-breeds, we would take them in. Of course, there was the rule that if you broke a serious rule instead of being kicked out, you would be killed.
The thing that got us the most hate from the Alpha Kings was that we protected witches. Witches and warlocks have been hunted for their power for ages. If they give up their power to someone, they are forced into servitude into their death. The Alpha Kings were obsessed with that and resulted in quite literally a witch-hunt. I didn't believe in that. Witches were tortured to force them to give up their power and most often killed. Our first witch was Giannawho escaped after they had killed her mate and child. Her family tracked her here and joined us as well. Now, she has a second chance mate and is doing better. However, by doing that, the Alpha Kings hated us even more. They kidnapped my pups when they were seven. My intelligent babies escaped thanks to their training, but that was the first time they took someone's life.
Now, they were all 16 years old, having shifted into their wolf for the first time at 12 due to their Alpha blood. The Miller Organization grew and now we have branches all over the world: Russia, Japan, France. . . On the topic of my pups, they were a handful in their own right. Since we are hiding among the humans, I was forced to send them to public school. It took Mia two weeks to get suspended and later expelled from that school. She got into too many fights because the human boys thought she was "weak" because she was a girl. Mia was much too prideful and took them down. Elijah and Levi weren't bothered because it was normal for boys. I nearly killed the principal for this.
In the end, I home schooled them and was therefore able to give them more training here. Mia has every intention of inheriting the Miller Organization. Levi and Elijah are less interested but I know why. They were meant to be the next Alphas of Blood Moon after their fathers. It's in their blood. And that's the subject I want to talk about. It isn't going to go well.
Speaking of the devils, I heard the arrival of my babies. As they are teenagers and came back from an assignment last night, they are taking their sweet time, not morning people. Mia sniffed the air and muttered, "Food."
Levi shoved Mia over and grabbed a plate of food, "Pancakes!"
Elijah stayed quiet, like always. There had been a time where that fact worried me. I thought maybe he was shy or had other problems. Especially with Levi and Mia being so vocal, I just wanted my baby to be okay. It even got to the point where I confronted him about. He simply smiled at me and said, "The quiet one is always the person you should look out for. After all, no one plans a murder out loud." He got a laugh out of me for that statement.
Later, I had the same conversation with Mia who reassured me, "Don't underestimate him. The quiet people know more than they say, think more than they speak, and notice more than anyone realizes." Talking with my pups gave me clarity on a lot of topics. They have trained most of their life and been doing work such as rescue, or scouting for the Miller Organization since they were 10. It had been Mateo and Chris' idea. They had the dynamics of a well trained group.
Mia talked a lot and no one saw past her air-head disguise. Levi was the dumb jock while Elijah was the quiet kid qualified as a nerd. In different times, we sent them to schools to help other rogues. All that could change. Mia could act like a boy obsessed girl, Levi the popular kid and Elijah the bad boy. Everyone always over looked the calculating look in their eyes and their lack of hesitation in everything. Their eyes were guarded and cold.
Be kind, be professional, and a plan to kill everyone you meet. Those were words we are forced to live by. I didn't want that for them which is why I need to talk to them. I want them safe, not looking over their shoulder all the time. I want them to have a chance to be children and be able to befriend people without wondering when betrayal will come. I want them to smile without the cynical touch and hidden plans of murder.
After all three of them finished eating their pancakes, they all looked up at me. They could tell by the stiff way I was holding myself that I wanted to say something. I am sure that Mia or Elijah figured out the topic I wanted to start with. I mentally braced myself for their annoyance as I asked quickly, "What do you think about meeting your fathers?"
Levi exploded, "HELL NO! The bastards rejected you through a motherfucking letter. I have no need to see the assholes who are killing you!" His breath was uneven as he finished his rant. I winced slightly, his words hit home, but I still berated, "Language!"
My wolf has the next thing to dead. My healing was the same as humans, I had no super-strength or speed. I couldn't shift. I was basically a human who knew of the supernatural. I never outright told my pups, but they know. The only reason I wasn't dead is because they never used my name to reject me.
I sigh before turning to my two other pups, "What do you two think?"
Mia shrugged, "I want to go see these pathetic Alphas, punch them, then leave."
I rolled my eyes as Elijah choose his answer carefully, "Eventually Levi and I will be forced to go and give up the Alpha title formally if we don't want it."
Levi looked at his brother confused, "What?"
I hugged my pup, "There was a reason why you two have no interest in leading the Miller Organization. It's literally in your blood to lead the Blood Moon pack. Mia, for some reason, doesn't have that. It's why she is inheriting the Organization. Even if the two of you give up your right as Alphas, you could never adapt to be the Boss of the Organization. The roles are too similar with key differences."
He frowned, "Let's just talk about this later, Mom. We just finished the scout assignment and got the next witches to the base. I want to have a family day."
Mia nodded, "That's a good idea. How about a walk in the woods as humans? We havent' done that in a long time."
My pups were careful to not mention my inability to shirt or let that slow us down. I smiled gratefully, "Sure, that sounds fun."
There was a nearby Miller Organization base, but we lived in a big house near the woods. Since we are also a human mafia and business, this will make sure if the police gets interested, they won't find our base. There also isn't any huge Hunter bases nearby. We wiped them all out. The closest one was the original Hunter base and was huge. We are trying to take them down, but the Miller Organization doesn't have the man power that we want to risk to do so.
The Organization is a place of refuge, not attack. We never attack people unless they do it first. We all have to just avoid any Hunters, but no one of them usually come here. Everyone is pretty good at covering their tracks and not getting caught. With the witches covering our scent and power, it would take a lot of luck or any act of a god to let them find us.
***
Soon enough, we were ready to head out to the forest. Everyone had changed into athletic wear that was more comfortable. We started off with a comfortable jog. The silence was blissful and we all listened to the sound of the forest. It's where wolves like that are meant to be. Since my hearing is like a human, I wasn't the one to pick up the oncoming footsteps. No human ventured this far and when my pups froze, I knew that something bad was coming. Through the mind-link created by the witches, I asked, "What's wrong?"
Mia answered first, "Footsteps. At least twenty of them, the vibrations of the floor suggest that they are either heavily armed or on a camping trip."
Levi frowned, "I hear the clicking of the bullets entering the chamber of a gun."
When the first shot was fired into the clearing where we had stopped, Elijah yelled through the mind-link, "HUNTERS!"
My pups burst into action, dodging the bullets. I followed their lead, but I was human-like and got hit once. We took off in a random direction with only the thought of getting away on our minds. I already knew I wouldn't make it. Despite running in a zig-zag pattern, I was hit at least twice. My pain tolerance was such that I could keep running, but I was slowing them down. I knew that these Hunters had to have come from the original group. They must be out for a hunting mission to have traveled this far. Either way, we are screwed if they stay with me. I needed to slow down the Hunters for my pups to be able to get away. Technically, I am like these Hunters, human, except they had guns. However, the strength of a mother protecting her pups is stronger than natural law. Making sure that my pups didn't notice, I turned around and shocked the Hunters by jumping on the nearest one.My wolf burst from her death-like state to protect her pups. She wouldn't let them die. It was then that my kids noticed my choice. The mind-link was blowing up, yet I pushed them out focusing on the fight. I recognized my surroundings as the one of my old pack. I couldn't resist one last smirk as I fought. I guess the circle of life is real. I was back where I started.
The Hunters eventually managed to push me down and I gave my children one last message, "Run, only your fathers can help you." I knew they wouldn't abandon me and the Organization couldn't help. It would be a suicide mission. I knew that their fathers would make sure that their pups lived even if I knew that I wouldn't survive this night. I felt the darkness tugging on mind and soon I gave into it. I don't know if I would ever leave it again. I smiled as I felt that my pups passed into pack territory where the Hunters won't follow.
Perhaps, one day, they'll understand the sacrifices I will always gladly repeat for them out of love.
